Mission Statement

To serve the citizens of Mendocino County by promoting agriculture, fostering public confidence in the marketplace through our inspection programs, protecting the environment and the public by regulating and mitigating pesticide use, and protecting against alien and exotic pests through eradication and preventing introduction of new pest species.



The Department of Agriculture is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 pm to 5pm.  Our front counter is closed on Mondays from 3 to 5 pm for staff meetings.

Annual Field Worker Training

Our Annual Field Worker Training is scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2017 in the Board of Supervisor's Chambers.  For information click here.

Certified Producer's Certificates on the Coast

On Tuesday, April 11, 2017 we will have staff at our Fort Bragg office to issue Certified Producer's Certificates to producers on the coast.  Appointments are mandatory, please call our office to schedule.  Click here for more information.
