Community Benefit Fund

As part of the FY 2015-16 Final Budget, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors set aside a total of $250,000 in funding intended for support of community organizations.  The source of the funding is from one-time money, or fund balance from previous years, and does not constitute an obligation for on-going programs in future years.  Currently there is $186,000 available to assist community organizations and government agencies.

 

Eligible entities are other government agencies or local non-profit organizations that provide a community benefit.  For profit entities are not eligible for funding from the Community Benefit Fund.  Applications are available in the Executive Office or at the links below.  


Procedures

Application

 

Applications for funding must be submitted to the Executive Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 16, 2015.

The Executive Office received 63 applications for a total requested amount of $1,300,576. The discussion and review of the applications is expected to be placed on the November 17, 2015, Board meeting. Each grant request requires approval by the Board of Supervisors.   The Community Benefit Fund summary table and submitted applications are below.
